Description
NO CARB is a water-based masking compound containing copper which is used for the protection of steel surfaces from carburization or decarburization during heating for hardening, carburizing, annealing, normalizing, forging, or rolling. Used in carburizing applications, NO CARB can provide an effective stop-off case depth up to 0.12”. It is designed for use in furnaces with or without atmospheres, with pack hardening material or other carburizing materials. It is not suitable for use in molten salt baths or fluidized bed furnaces.
Key Properties
- When properly mixed, NO CARB is grey in color with little or no odor.
- Suitable for dipping, painting, or spraying.
