GX PROOF 8140 is a solvent based corrosion inhibitor which is designed to be used as received to achieve long term (1-year plus indoors) rust inhibition. This product is formulated to pass a 48 hour salt spray analysis. GX PROOF 8140 may be diluted with petroleum solvent for further economy in applications requiring shorter term corrosion protection. This product will leave an oily, thin film.
