Description
20 RECTIFIER PELLETS are used to remove harmful oxide contamination found in Sta-Hard 45, High Speed 60, 175-S Starting Salt & High Speed 75 salt baths. Oxides in the bath are created at the air/molten salt interface where oxygen is absorbed by the salt. Soils on the surface of parts immersed in these salts can also contribute to oxide contamination. The oxides bond with carbon atoms on the surface of immersed parts; thus, stripping the surface of carbon content resulting in parts not reaching targeted hardness levels. 20 RECTIFIER PELLETS are offered as an effective alternative to existing solid and gaseous processes for maintaining oxide free neutral salt baths used at temperatures between 1900 - 2400°F.
