800 NEUTRAL SALT is a granular mixture containing barium chloride. Its low melting point and working range make it suitable for ferrous heat-treating operations. These include heating for hardening, cycle and sub-critical annealing, high temperature drawing, and hot quenching of high alloy tool steels within its working range. 800 NEUTRAL SALT is especially suitable as a quenching and tempering medium for high-speed steels.
